The week announced the rumor (finally confirmed) that Bose was releasing a new version of its QC35 wireless headset integrating Google Assistant. A way for Google to implant even more deeply its presence in our daily life.
Until now, the virtual assistant was visible via Google Home and iOS and Android apps as well as some media such as home automation with Nest or lighting with Philips Hue. With the opening of functionality to audio headsets through a specific button, you can access:
– message notifications, appointments / reminders from Google Calendar,
– services such as reading new media information or any other content,
– contacts on your smartphone.
For now, only Bose is a guinea pig for the extension of Google Assistant to helmets. The helmet will only be available in the US, Australia, Canada, Germany, France and the UK. One can imagine in the future that Apple will do the same between these AirPods, Siri and its connected speaker.
